What do CDT hikers say about our guides?

Here are several comments:

  • Jim's guidebooks are, in my opinion, the best written guidebooks I've ever encountered on any trail anywhere.

  • I found your book (despite being torn into sections) to be well written, no nonsense, and very useful. Thanks for all of your good work!

  • We found that most of the time, Jim Wolf's routes were good - he likes the high country, hates PUDs [pointless ups-and-downs] and is after the most scenic route. Sometimes that makes his preferred routes longer and more difficult. Usually they were worth the extra effort.

  • Wolf's guides are infinitely superior ... Wolf is better written, more detailed, has better information and data, and on and on and on.

  • Your route is great – you did one heck of a job in putting it together!!!! Your guidebooks are excellent.

  • Even more than in Colorado last year, the only real choice for a guidebook is Jim Wolf's CDTS published book. The others are all questionable and lack either detail or accuracy.

  • Thanks so much.  It was your guide books that guided me through Wyoming and Colorado.  I'm grateful for all the help you've provided me on my CDT adventures. Keep up the good work.

  • Thank you for your guidebooks. I always felt as though I had a friend on the trail!

  • What a joy to have guide book directions that almost always made good sense.
